Pompeii and surroundings

We go through the discovery of the main tourist attractions easily reachable from the Domus Annae B&B, with the aim of stimulating our guests' interest in getting in touch with our territory and its beauties.

In addition to culture, we must not forget the gastronomic richness that Campania offers, which is the "House of Pizza" in the world.

Furthermore, the confectionery production is also remarkable, in particular the "Sfogliatella" dominates the scene with her majesty.

Sanctuary of Pompeii - 800 m

The B&B is located just 10 minutes walk from the pontifical sanctuary of the Blessed Virgin of the Holy Rosary, as well as one of the most important and visited in Italy.
From the bell tower it is possible to enjoy a breathtaking view of Vesuvius

Pompeii excavations - 850 m

The archaeological excavations of Pompeii have returned the remains of the ancient city of Pompeii, buried under a blanket of ashes and lapilli during the eruption of Vesuvius in 79.
It is one of the most visited sites in the world and is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Vesuvius - 15 km

From Pompeii it is easy to reach Vesuvius to be able to take an excursion, admiring the beautiful view it offers and the famous fumaroles.
It is possible to reach the point where the excursion begins by car or by dedicated bus.

Naples - 20 km

In 20 minutes by car you can reach the city of Naples, rich in history and culture. We mention only some of the main attractions that Naples reserves: Bourbon Gallery, Underground Naples, Piazza del Plebiscito, Spaccanapoli, Spanish Quarters, Via San Gregorio Armeno, Lungomare Caracciolo, San Carlo Theater.
The breathtaking views that can be enjoyed from Castel Sant'Elmo and from the church of Sant'Antonio in Posillipo are priceless

Amalfi Coast - 25 km

The Amalfi Coast is a stretch of the Tyrrhenian coast in the province of Salerno. Located east of the Sorrento peninsula, it overlooks the Gulf of Salerno and extends from Positano to Vietri sul Mare.
Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997, the coast is renowned throughout the world for its naturalistic beauty.
On the Amalfi coast it is possible to swim in super characteristic coves.

Sorrento - 25 km

The famous city of lemons is easily accessible from the Domus Annae.
Sorrento reserves many attractions, such as the Villa Comunale or the baths of Queen Giovanna
From Sorrento it is possible to take a tour of the Amalfi Coast, visiting, among others, Positano, Ravello, Amalfi.
It is also possible to take the ferry to reach Ischia, Positano, Capri

Salerno - 30 km

Not far away we can find Salerno. City rich in history, which reaches its peak during the Christmas period, thanks to the "Luci d'artista", awarded various prizes for their beauty.

Royal Palace of Caserta - 50 km

Royal residence, historically belonged to the Bourbons of the Two Sicilies, dating back to 1774.
It was included by UNESCO, in 1997, in the list of world heritage sites.

Capri - 60 km

The island of Capri is easily accessible by taking the ferry from Castellamare di Stabia (recommended), Naples or Sorrento.
The island is one of the most characteristic islands of Italy, it is possible to visit the various cultural attractions it hosts and, above all, to take a boat ride to admire the famous stacks.
The view from Mount Solaro is priceless, which can be accessed by chairlift.

Ischia - 70 km

Island belonging to the archipelago of the Phlegraean islands.
The sea, the spas and the beaches are the main tourist resource of the area, which is also rich in history. Along with the Aragonese Castle, the Soccorso and all the other postcards of the island, it is also important to visit the Archaeological Museum of Villa Arbusto in Lacco Ameno.
